The son and daughter of a Texas oil tycoon sat together, in the hospital waiting room, waiting anxiously for the Doctors report.
Finally, after what seemed like hours, the Doctor finally came out. “Well” he said “I have good news and bad news. The bad news is – your father is brain-dead. But, the good news is – he’s the perfect candidate for a new procedure. A brain transplant. Unfortunately, it’s quite expensive and it’s not covered by insurance.”
After a second, the son asked, “how much does it cost.”
“It’s $10,000 for a male brain and $2,000 for a female brain.”
Despite the seriousness of the situation, the son chuckled, then struggled to regain his composure.
The oilman’s daughter shot her brother a nasty look and asked, “Why is the female brain so much less?”
“Oh that’s just standard pricing procedure,” the Doctor replied. “You see we have to charge less for the female brain simply because they’ve been used.”
