Grandma’s Banana Nut Bread

Easy and Delicious!

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas

1 cup sugar

2 cups sifted flour

1 tsp. salt

1 Tbs. baking powder

2 eggs

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup ground/diced nuts

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas. Add sugar, mix gently, then let stand for 15 minutes.

In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Beat eggs. Dissolve soda in about 1 tsp of water.

Add butter to bananas and sugar. Mix thoroughly.

Add dry ingredients, baking soda, beaten eggs, and ground/diced nuts. Stir gently until well mixed.

Bake in a buttered loaf pan (or similar-sized baking dish) in a 350-degree oven for 50 – 60 minutes.
