Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Back in your Great Grandma’s day, sugar cookies were rolled in sugar, then baked.  

They were not iced!

And, Everyone Loved Them.

Give Them A Try.

You May Find That You Love Them Too!

Ingredients

1 cup of sugar (more for rolling uncooked cookie balls in!)

2 1/2 cups flour

½ cup of Crisco

1 cup of Butter, softened

2 eggs

1 tsp. Baking Powder

½ tsp. soda

2 tablespoons of buttermilk

2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. almond extract

pinch of salt

Directions

Mix all dry items together.

Then, add wet items.

Mix well.

Put into refrigerator for an hour or so, until cookie dough is chilled.

Roll into balls.

Dip in sugar

Place on baking trays.

Bake at 350.
