Jimbo’s Mom
Soon after Jimbo clocked in for work, the boss called him over. “You got a phone call in the front office.”
When Jimbo returned, he wore a hang-dog expression and his head hung low.
The boss asked, “Hey, you okay?”
“No, Boss” he replied, “I sure ain’t. Just found out my mother died sometime early this morning.”
“Gosh, that’s awful,” replied the foreman “Do you want to take the day off?”
“No,” Jimbo replied. “I’ll finish the day.”
About an hour later, the boss returned. “Hey, you got another phone call. You can take it in the office.”
This time when Jimbo returned he looked twice as sad.
The boss asked, “Everything alright?”
“No Boss, I got even worse news,”
“That was my brother, Billy Joe. His mother died today too!”
Texas Truckers
Two Texas truckers were barreling along when they come upon a low bridge.
The sign read, “Clearance: 11″2′.”
Concerned, they got out, measured their truck, and realized that it was 11″6′.
So the first fella looks at the second fella and says, “I don’t see the highway patrol. Not anywhere…. What do you say, we go for it!”
