My dad thought they were so good he ate THREE before dinner!
Ingredients
1 cup Crisco
¼ cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups old-fashioned oats
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 ¾ cups M&M’s
Directions
Whisk Crisco, butter, and sugars together. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat.
In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking soda, and salt. Combine the two mixtures and stir until blended.
Mix in oats, chocolate chips, and M&M’s.
(It may look like a lot, but it’s worth it. Trust me!)
Use a teaspoon to shape and measure the dough, pressing on the sides with your hand to ensure the dough sticks to the chocolate chunks. Distribute evenly on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until the sides are golden brown.
