The World’s Best Hamburger Goulash

When the occasion calls for a hearty, man & kid pleasing meal, Terry serves her “They Begged For It” casserole! 



1 lb. of ground beef

4 Italian sausage links

Bow tie pasta

½ of a green bell pepper – diced

½ of a red bell pepper – diced

½ onion – diced

1 can of diced tomatoes (drained)

2 cans of tomato sauce

1 cup of ketchup



Garlic Salt

Cheddar Cheese to taste


Brown the ground beef with the bell peppers and onion in a large skillet. Drain.

Boil the bow tie pasta. (Leave it a little firm.)

Cook the 4 sausage links on a baking sheet (with a small lip) at 350.

Cut sausage into bite size pieces. 

Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and ketchup to skillet of ground beef, bell peppers and onion. Let simmer.

(Don’t cook on high heat or pasta will burn and stick to the bottom of skillet)

Add cheese after it’s done. Gently so it doesn’t break the pasta. Salt and pepper to taste.


Serve with salad and garlic bread!
