The Best Praline Blondies!

A favorite family recipe.  These blondies are heavenly.  They are the best Praline Blondies ever!

Praline Blondies


For Blondies:

2 cup butter

4 cups brown sugar

4 eggs

2 T. vanilla extract

2 tsp. baking powder

4 cups all-purpose flour

For Praline Icing:

¾ cup butter

1 ½ cup brown sugar

½ cup heavy cream

3 cups powdered sugar

1 ½ cup pecans – chopped



Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Use cooking spray on 13 x 9-inch baking pan.  Set aside.

Blondies – In a medium/large saucepan, melt butter.  Stir in brown sugar until combined.  Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes.  Whisk in eggs and vanilla.  Add baking powder and flour.  Mix well.  Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for approximately 20 – 24 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.  Cool completely before adding icing.

Praline Icing –  Clean saucepan and return to stove. Melt butter. Bring to a boil. Add brown sugar, bring back to boil.  Immediately remove from heat and cool slightly.  About 5 to 10 minutes.  Once slightly cooled, add in powdered sugar.  Add pecans. Mix.  Immediately spread icing over blondies.  Refrigerate for one hour before cutting into bars.

Serves 12 – 16
