Ingredients
12 thick bacon slices cooked and chopped into bite size pieces
16 oz. of pork sausage, cooked
5 medium to large mushrooms sliced
1/2 medium white onion chopped
3 tsp. of butter
1/3 cup of salsa (add jalapeños if you like it spicy!)
2 cups of cheddar cheese
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups of milk
Ready made pie crust (I used 1 1/2)
Flour (To dust the pie crust)
Salt and Pepper to taste (you won’t need much since this is so tasty!)
Directions
Dust bottom of pie crust with flour. Line cast iron skillet with pie crust.
Fry bacon. Drain grease. (Blot off excess grease.)
Spread bacon over pie crust.
Cook mushrooms and onions in butter.
Spread over bacon.
Cook sausage. Drain. (Blot off excess grease.)
Spread over mushrooms.
Spread salsa over sausage.
Grate cheese.
Spread over sausage.
Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper together.
(Go easy on the salt and pepper. The bacon, sausage, and tomatoes bring in lots of spices.)
Pour over cheese.
Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
Let sit for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
